Who am I?
As Account Manager (AM) you will be responsible for our Makeup Beauty portfolio at one of our Top Drug Retailers, Di. You will be in charge for the customer partnership, Joint business plan and negotiations. Besides this, you are responsible for the Net Sales Growth and Market Share Growth in line with the targets of our Annual Operating Plan. You’ll work together with the Di Mass account manager, with whom you’ll focus on the national chain. However, you will be part of the Drug Channel team and your network within L’Oréal will be large.
The business responsibilities include meeting and, where possible exceeding, annual targets and an excellent execution of a tailor-made account plan. The latter is built with your colleagues of marketing, RGM, Finance, Business Development & Planning… You are a real connector, that needs to contribute proactively to the success of Key Account in our Benelux organization.
Your responsibilities include:
- Defining and executing the must win battles per category based on the Brand, Channel and Customer prioritization grids, following the yearly business & category cycle
- Leading Business Reviews & Operational meetings
- Leading the negotiations and executing customer negotiations within mandate, while monitoring performance
- Coordinating the activation plans through customer tools with the highest return on investments, in close collaboration with other stakeholders (RGM, Business Development…)
- Owning the P&L and forecast for your customer and category (from volume to value) including anticipation of risks & opportunities (drivers & levers). You will propose actions to course correct and achieve your targets.
- Ensuring smooth timely cash collection through clear internal & external communication (payment terms, trade conditions etc.).
- Taking the lead on overarching topics with your customers
- Contributing to the Division Leadership Team's business vision by sharing account perspective and opportunities in-line with this vision.
- Use sustainability, our professional DNA and our data in a progressive way. Include improvement efforts, analyzing data and building new initiatives, which make an impact within the beauty industry.
Your profile
You have obtained a relevant master's degree in economics, business or has strong affinity with marketing, sales or general management and you have a solid experience (min 3-5 years) in Sales and/or business development, preferably in fast-moving organizations in account management.
You are an entrepreneur who gets energy from building relationships, creating real added value by delivering on the key priorities and goals. Ensuring a partnership based on trust.
You are analytical strong but pragmatic when the situation requires. As a person you are determined to make a great impact by taking initiatives and building year plans with your account. It is important to feel comfortable to collaborate with different stakeholders and that you know how to convince them internally and externally. Furthermore, you are open minded and a good listener, to understand the needs of our account, to build a solid relationship that can last for a long time.
Our ideal candidate:
- +3-5 years of commercial experience and/or business development, preferably in FMCG
- You are customer centric, with good listening and communication skills to connect with your Key Account
- You are an enthusiastic, open team player, great entrepreneurial and have strong negotiation & selling skills
- You are seen as a strong influencer, with great stakeholder management
- You describe yourself as creative, resilient & bring new ideas in a defined frame
- A good knowledge of French and English is key, Dutch is an advantage.
