Application Tester – WMS

Your Main responsibilities:
As an Application Tester - WMS you play a key role in the implementation of the new WMS system within the European Distribution Centers in Temse & Olen. You will create and document the necessary testing scenarios within the WMS system and perform the testing to verify the correctness of the system and its configuration and behavior.

In this role, you will engage with other team members on different integrated applications (ERP - TMS – Warehouse Control Systems – Labelling systems) to ensure the overall processes are documented throughout all the different test scenarios and to validate if the system works conform to expectations.

You will play an important role in the execution of the testing and in the training of and assistance to the additional testers that will be involved during the test execution.

During the go-live & stabilization period, your role will be important to support day-to-day continuity. Based on this gained experience, you will support DC's operations, assist with training, and change over to the new applications. You can be involved in any continuous improvements within our roadmap in the future.

Job Description:
Unit and System integrated Testing, Documentation of test scripts - WMS:

• You understand Logistics & Warehouse processes to create test scripts, which cover these processes in the best possible way. Logistics scope will focus on Warehouse planning, Operations & shipping, both in the areas of Inbound, Outbound & Inventory management.

• You review the logistics operational process and identify the right test scripts (including negative testing) to ensure the set-up of the system meets the requirements of effective & efficient operations.

• You create, execute, and analyze the necessary test scenarios and write the test scripts to support the execution of testing activities.

Integration & User acceptance testing support - WMS:

• As a test user, you will execute integration & UAT testing, you will work with a WMS Champion or a Logistics Specialist Deliver in order to identify & execute the test scripts.

• You report on results and issues noticed during these integration & UAT testing, where needed support in the analyzed and the root cause identification driven by a WMS Champion or a Logistics Specialist Deliver.

Training & QMS support - WMS:

• Acting as an Application tester, you will support the identified user which will execute the test scenarios to get them towards the necessary knowledge level & experience to execute the test scripts. In addition, you will support in training towards the operations people.

Go-Live/Hypercare support - WMS:

• As the go-live approaches, you will be involved in all kinds of testing and validation in order to prepare for the go-live.

• You maintain training scripts and documentation, including best practices.

• You function as an SME expert on the new systems and assist other operations people in their training.

Your Profile:

• You have several years of experience in operational Supply chain/Logistics processes with strong IT affinity

• You have experience within a warehouse processing environment, preferably in all operational areas, such as Inbound, Outbound, and inventory management.

• You have experience with ERP and/or WMS systems with a strong affinity in Quality processes

• You have experience in test scriptwriting or test execution (plus!)

• You have good communication skills

• You have a positive- and analytical mindset (to map logistics operational process into test scripts)

• You are flexible to provide process & system support outside of the standard day working times, including the go-live and stabilization support period

• You are a team player

• You are fluent in English & Dutch
