About the role
Within the Tax & Accounting division (TAA) the Senior Product Owner e-invoicing will be responsible for the product evolution and development of our E-invoicing solution Flowin.
The main focus will be on extending the functional scope of our e-invoicing solution further, align with internal and external stakeholders while expanding Flowin to a pan-European scale.
You will be working on an ambitious project that is considered as an important growth pilar for the organization.
You will be closely working together with both the Software Development Team and Product Manager and you will report to the Software Development Manager.
You will be working from our offices in Leuven and you will have the chance for occasional travel in the Benelux and neighboring countries about two times a year, and will have the opportunity to work up to 3 days a week from home.
Key Responsibilities
Anticipate client needs: the PO needs to understand & anticipate the user needs and have a good market knowledge and communication skills to anticipate and address problems and needs. Customer journey mapping and customer experience play an important role here.
Provide insight and collaborate on the product vision with the product manager. You will be the domain expert, in the domain of product development team that you are a part of.
The PO translates the high-level product roadmap into a goal oriented product backlog. This roadmap is a strategic guide for stakeholders (also Product Management and Sales) to reference as well as a plan for execution.
Manage the product backlog (prioritized list of increments to be delivered by the feature teams and the SRE team in the product line). It is the PO's responsibility to create the list of backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall strategy and business objectives and the value they create. Additionally, the PO needs to map dependencies to be able to define the sequence of development. The product backlog is a live document that should continually be updated.
Prioritize needs by analyzing scope, budget, and time, and weighing priorities according to the needs and objectives of stakeholders.
Oversee development stages: should spend a significant amount of time overseeing the actual development of the product and be present in several align moments, including planning, refinement, and review meetings.
As part of the IT product development team, act as primary liaison and a primary communicator and link between stakeholders and teams. He ensures buy-in from stakeholders on all major decisions and strategy and provides clear input and feedback to the feature/SRE teams.
Evaluate product progress at each iteration: he is accountable for each providing clear feedback during and at the delivery of the increment. He plays a primary role in inspecting and evaluating product progress through each iteration and makes the judgment call on the performance, deciding if there needs to be an adaptation of the backlog, or if it is releasable.
Keeps himself informed of the evolutions within the field of expertise and keeps his/her knowledge up to date within the context of the new developments to strengthen his/her credibility by offering a service that is permanently based on updated knowledge.
Your Profile
You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business or technology or equivalent by experience with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Fluency in English is a must. Dutch and every other languages can be considered as a plus.
You understand how an API based service offering works for SAAS products.
You have a solid background working with agile development teams.
Experience in E-invoicing is a plus.
On the one hand you can discuss technical requirements and constraints with the development team
On the other hand you can effectively communicate business benefits to marketing, sales and management
E-invoicing is not a secret for you and you are driven by digitalization and innovation.
You can work in a complex environment/ecosystem and have the proficiency in defining and documenting complex product needs.
You are flexible and you cope with constant change.
You have the ability to create and maintain detailed product roadmaps
You take ownership to do what is necessary to reach your milestones.
You are skilled in interpreting and using data to make informed decisions.
