THESE WILL BE YOUR TASKS
- You define the logistical concept to which a client should evolve in the long term, in terms of distribution and/or production network, (multi-level) inventory management, planning and forecasting, transport and warehouse organisation (make or buy).
- You map out the current situation at the client both qualitatively and quantitatively. This is based on interviews with various stakeholders and quantitative data analyses.
- You determine the required data input and the correct aggregation level of both system data and operational data.
- Logically, you report back to the client regarding the AS IS situation, both qualitatively and quantitatively.
- You describe the functional requirements in the field of warehousing and/or transport, if it's decided to outsource these activities in the future.
- You lead the entire tender process in which you objectively compare the offerings of various logistics service providers (warehousing and/or transport).
- You set up calculation models within MS Office applications and/or other software tools (e.g., center of gravity analysis, inventory optimization software, network simulation software, etc.).
- You interpret the quantitative outcome of such models and compare various scenarios in terms of investments, operational cost savings and more qualitative criteria (customer service, risk, implementation duration, etc.).
- You structure your findings and present them at a higher management level at the client's organisation.
- You lead consultants with your expertise, determine the relevant analyses to be performed, interpret the analysis results and synthesise them into a coherent story for the client.
ABOUT YOU
- You have already gained experience in, or have a strong affinity with, logistics and operational processes.
- You have expertise and extensive practical experience in at least one of the following domains: network redesign (distribution and/or production), transport optimisation and tendering, inventory management, forecasting and planning, procurement and/or sourcing.
- You have a higher education as an engineer or business engineer (or similar through experience).
- You are willing to learn the Logflow methodologies and immerse yourself in the different logistic subfields.
- You can oversee (helicopter view) your various ongoing projects and manage employees in a structured manner.
- You possess the necessary soft skills that allow you to communicate fluently with people at all levels of an organisation.
- You have strong analytical skills and synthetic abilities.
- You have a flexible, no-nonsense attitude.
- You have a good knowledge of MS Office and very good knowledge of Excel.
- You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
