The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Performance Analyst to join QBE Re, the reinsurance arm of QBE Insurance Group. This is a permanent role based in Brussels offered on a hybrid working model.

Your New Role
This role provides expertise in reporting and analysis to enhance decision-making, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to achieving business goals. You’ll report into Head of Performance and collaborate with end users across QBE Re to deliver data insights that drive operational efficiency.
You’ll be responsible for producing analytics, mapping key reporting processes, managing stakeholders, identifying trends, and maintaining reporting requirements to support business needs and objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Champion MI Data Warehouse and underwriting performance reporting tools across the business.
- Collaborate with end users to identify reporting requirements and deliver data insights.
- Support basic data needs by reviewing requests, identifying correct databases, and extracting relevant data.
- Facilitate reliable data insights by analysing, testing, and manipulating data using established guidelines.
- Assist with ad-hoc reports and special projects, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Implement policies and directives from senior management to support strategic decisions.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by modelling cultural expectations and influencing others.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Identify and proactively report key risk areas for People programmes.
- Engage with stakeholders to improve existing processes and reporting flows.
- Support development of reports and dashboards under guidance from senior team members.
About You
Your experience in insurance, financial services, corporate or consulting environments will help you support our teams in delivering meaningful insights and improving reporting processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating data into action and collaborating across teams.
Skills You’ll Need:
- Business intelligence development experience within insurance or financial services.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Systems/technical expertise with SAS, SQL, and/or Access.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data effectively.Ability to improve process, data, reporting, and insights.
- Experience translating data into actionable insights.
- Comfortable working in an outsourced IT environment.
- Experience with relational databases, emerging data sources, and developing reporting and data analytic solutions.
