Overview
IT System Administrator role is to support and maintain the computer infrastructure across the local regions with onsite support or remote.
You shall be responsible for installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solve hardware and applications problems, either over the phone or in person.
PRG increasingly rely on computer systems in all areas of their operations and decision making processes. It’s therefore crucial to ensure the correct running and maintenance of the IT systems.
Qualifications
Due to a wide variety of technologies being used, it is desired to have a working knowledge and experience across the following platforms, these are:
- Minimum 1 years experience
- Desireable experience of:
- Windows 10 / 11 & Apple MAC
- Microsoft 365 Suite – TEAMs, Sharepoint, Exchange, OneDrive, Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint
- ITIL – Service management L1
- Anti-Virus
- Strong communication – fluent in English, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in liaising and assisting at all levels.
- Excellent administrative skills.
- Ability to take ownership of problems and act quickly.
- Mature approach to dealing with people at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to learn new technologies.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Self motivated and able to work under your own initiative.
- Reliable with a good time keeping record.
Responsibilities
IT Systems Administrators are mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them. Individual tasks vary depending on project based work or business as usual activity, but you'll generally need to:
- Own the onboarding & offboarding procedure for IT
- Procurement of IT hardware, Computers, Laptops, Mobile phones & IT peripherals
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications using inhouse technologies.
- Maintain local infrastructure (UPS, wireless, printers, alarms, cabling)
- Software License management & deployment
- Administer client hardware (desktop devices, desk phones, mobile, scanners) troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Test and evaluate new technology.
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
- Serves as the first point of contact for user requests.
- Interacts with internal customers to ensure that all Information Technology (IT) related issues are addressed and documented in a responsive and professional manner.
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- support the roll-out of new applications.
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
- Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time.
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as Dev Ops.
- Establish a good working relationship with the global PRG IT team.
- Work close together with the regional IT team from PRG EMEA that is responsible for this area in general.
- Manage local supplier and service companies that PRG works together with.
