Introduction
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Architect to bridge the gap between operational security and security architecture, ensuring that our systems and security solutions are resilient, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices. In this role, you will play a key part in designing secure architectures, advising on the implementation of cutting-edge security technologies, and guiding the organisation towards a robust security posture in compliance with global standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and continuously improve the organisation’s security infrastructure.
Design and maintain secure architectures for infrastructure, cloud environments, applications, and identity services.
Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex security incidents and system issues.
Advise on security technologies, including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM, PAM, and cloud-native security tools.
Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to integrate security into system designs and processes.
Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies based on organisational needs.
Define and maintain reference architectures, security standards, and best practices.
Support compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, NIS 2, GDPR) through architectural guidance and documentation.
Conduct risk assessments, security reviews, and threat modelling at the architectural level for new systems and changes.
Assist in developing automated processes for provisioning, monitoring, and incident management.
You have the following skills
Profile Requirements / Skills
Languages: Native proficiency in Dutch or French; active working knowledge of English.
Certifications: Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS or Azure Security Certifications, or equivalent.
Technical Skills:
Expert in Cyber Security and SIEM technologies.
Confirmed expertise in Cryptography, ISO 27K, IT Governance Frameworks, NIST standards, and Private/Public Key Management.
Solid knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructure security.
Experience: Recent (within the last 1–3 years) hands-on experience in IT security architecture roles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to advise stakeholders at all levels.
