About the Job
As an Inventory Category Planner, you'll act as a trusted advisor to our Regional Planners, supporting the execution of end-to-end strategies down to the store and door level. You'll collaborate closely with the merchandise and planning teams to develop profitable inventory strategies. In this role, you’ll also conduct financial analysis to determine the best approaches for optimizing inventory flow and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between planning, supply planning, and inventory management to build delivery plans & flow forecasts
- Responsible for building effective inventory strategies that align with financial objectives of the company
- Accountably for collaborating with Inventory Management Lead and Category Inventory Managers to resolve issues related to product shipment delays
- Responsible for sizing of production orders
- Provide production requirements in a timely manner
- Analyse confirmed delivery / Challenge supply change
- Recommend exception management activities
- Support preparation of Regional S&OP and recommend profitable inventory decisions
- Participate to transformation and changes, contribute to improvements and influence Merch Planning operations to develop best in class planning in LSE
- Ship Risk Analysis: Timely review of Supply Vs Demand Gap
About You
- 3-5 years Category Management or supply chain experience (preferably in a retail environment)
- Experience with inventory management tools and forecasting software
- Technical proficiency with computer software tools and the ability to learn new ones quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, SAP & Business Intelligence)
- Strong analytical/problem solving capabilities including the ability to quickly identify and communicate implications from consumer, internal and marketplace information
- Ability to use analytical tools to issue, support, and execute decisions
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad, diverse group of business partners, mainly the cross-functional team
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners and reports
