We're hiring: Installation Team Leader – Major Projects

At KONE, we make cities better places to live by ensuring the smooth and safe flow of people and goods in buildings. To support this mission, we’re looking for an experienced and committed Installation Team Leader to join our Major Projects team.
This is not your average site coordination role — you’ll be leading technically complex, high-value elevator installations across Belgium, working on iconic buildings like luxury hotels, high-rise towers, and infrastructure projects with unique technical and regulatory challenges.
What will you do?
As Installation Team Leader, you will:
Lead the execution of 5–6 major installation projects simultaneously, from preparation to final delivery.
Be highly present on-site, attending construction meetings, coordinating with architects, clients, and subcontractors.
Ensure detailed preparation: reading technical plans, anticipating material needs, and ensuring everything is delivered on time.
Manage your own team of technicians and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and motivation on the ground.
Work closely with the Project Coordinator to align planning, avoid delays, and manage contractual obligations.
Take ownership of administrative follow-up: reporting, documentation, invoicing, and compliance with lift regulations and construction laws.
Act as the main point of contact for the client, ensuring satisfaction, clear communication, and long-term relationship building.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders: legal, sourcing, engineering, and finance.
What makes this role unique?
You’ll work on technically demanding projects (e.g., elevators with 30+ stops, special fire or accessibility regulations).
You’ll be involved in early-stage preparation of future projects, even before they’re sold.
You’ll need to balance field presence with strong administrative and planning skills.
You’ll be a key player in avoiding penalties and ensuring contractual commitments are met.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or construction-related field.
Experience in site coordination or project leadership, ideally in the construction or elevator industry.
Strong planning, forecasting, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Comfortable with Excel and administrative tools.
Knowledge of lift standards and construction regulations is a strong asset.
Fluent in Dutch and French, with a good command of English.
