About the role
At Brainsquare, we’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join one of our enterprise projects in Brussels. You will design, build, and oversee the implementation of infrastructure concepts and ensure that solutions fit both the architectural vision and the operational reality. This is a senior-level role with a long-term perspective, where you’ll act as the central point of contact for all infrastructure-related matters.
Infrastructure Architect (Freelance)
Your responsibilities:
Define and deliver infrastructure architecture vision and guidelines.
Ensure alignment of solutions and projects with the architectural strategy.
Engage stakeholders from concept to completion and validate infra-related deliverables.
Safeguard infrastructure and security guidelines across the organization.
Identify risks and propose mitigation actions linked to infrastructure setup.
Act as the go-to person for infrastructure-related matters.
Mentor and coach colleagues, helping the team grow and mature.
Requirements
What we are looking for in you:
This is a further list of the experience that we consider important for a Senior Solution Architect:
Bachelor or master’s degree in IT or equivalent experience (Experience is more important than education! Certification is a plus).
Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position as Infrastructure Architect.
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture and design patterns.
Skilled communicator and presenter, comfortable coaching both small and large groups.
Adept at stakeholder management and aligning technical solutions with business needs.
Hands-on experience with reporting methods and architectural documentation.
Flexible, pragmatic, and eager to contribute to a structured organization.
Team-oriented, accurate, and committed, with a proactive attitude and high quality standards.
