What you will be doing
We are currently looking for an Enterprise Security Manager – Risk, Physical and Transport in our HQ in Brussels, Belgium to join our Corporate Security team. Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, you will: be an expert in Security Risk Management with a focus on specific security areas: Physical, Transport and Precious Metal security; demonstrate a profound knowledge of global security concepts and all technical and organisational related measures. You will possess an in depth knowledge of protecting persons, (in)tangible assets and reputation including e.g. (precious) metals. And this, during the whole life cycle and for all countries where Umicore has an interest. You will also act as project manager for security related initiatives on multi-site level, promoting and supporting with specific knowledge the security community.
Responsibilities:
Physical and transport security
- Follow trends on new technological solutions in the market - document technical standards and organize the implementation of security standards umicore wide.
- As an expert in the security domains, advice and support the Businesses. Work closely together with all relevant stakeholders
- Focus on the security of Precious metals, transport and warehouses
- Perform audits on Physical security on site, check the application of the Min. Security Requirements and the Security Risk Assessment (as part of the ESRM)
- Protect Expats, (senior) management and all umicore personnel against kidnap and ransom risks and during events.
Project management on security topics
- Enhance operational excellence in security..
- Inspire, initiate and supervise security and integrity improvement projects.
- Take the lead as project manager in specific projects that are multi –site and multi-business e.g. Access control, Visitor and Contractor management, security concepts in Joint venture and new or renewed umicore plants.
- Contribute to cross-functional improvement projects in related fields and in certification exercises e.g. ISA27000, NIS2, O.T.
Support the internal security community for the specific security domains of Physical and Transport security, security risk management and security of precious metals during sourcing, production and warehousing
- Actively promote and facilitate the working of the security community
- Manage the security documentation: take the responsibility for developing and maintaining security policies, procedures and standards in the expert domain.
- Organize exchange of best practices in the security expert domains of Physical, Transport and P.M. security.
- Organize in an adequate format workshops, seminars, info sessions on security related topics.
- Provide training to the security ambassadors and use the train the trainer principle.
Compliance and legal security advice
- Improve compliance by providing advice and support the business and enterprise functions on the evolution of legislation in the domain of securitye.g., physical and transport security, security risk management and precious metals.
- Make a comprehensive summary and inform Umicore people who need to know, depending on the subject and the region.
- Inform ( pro-actively) the security community on new security legislation.
Who we are looking for
Requirements:
- 10+ year ‘work experience in a security related domain
- Master’s degree – preferably with a technical background (e.g. engineering)
- Experience in a high-tech industrial environment is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in project management on related topics
- Organizational and Technical security management – an ASIS certification is a plus
- Security Risk management knowledge – ISO31000 certification is a plus
- Information security – ISO 27000 certification in a plus
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and a good knowledge of Dutch and/or French, German. Knowledge of another language is a plus
- High level of integrity and discretion
- Convincing and excellent written communication skills.
