Position
Behind the scenes, many teams contribute to the services our customers rely on. One of them is our Platforms team, a group of 16 talented engineers responsible for developing and running the backbone of our hosting solutions. This includes shared hosting, e-mail, OpenStack, DNS, monitoring, and more.

Key responsibilities
- Continuously improve and optimize our cluster infrastructure, with a strong focus on automation, to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure and hosting solutions.
- Deploy new applications and enhance existing ones.
- Research, test, and recommend new technologies to improve our platforms.
- Perform (and automate) OS and application upgrades where needed.
- Implement monitoring and observability tools to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- Champion and spread the DevOps mindset within the team.
Skills and experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps or system engineering role.
- Solid knowledge of Linux distributions (ideally Debian) and their core components (iptables, nftables, systemd, linux kernel, unix tools, …).
- Hands-on experience with popular open-source technologies such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL, Kubernetes, Docker, HAProxy, ElasticSearch, etc.
- Skilled in scripting (Python, PHP, Perl, Go, bash, …).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, …).
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (KVM, VMware, oVirt, …).
- OpenStack knowledge (Cinder, Neutron, Nova, Glance, …) is a plus.
- Basic networking knowledge (firewalling, VPN, VLANs, …).
- Understanding of file systems and storage technologies (NFS, ext4, zfs, btrfs, …) is beneficial.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
- Passionate about technology, eager to learn, and always curious.
- A true team player who can also work independently and stay calm under pressure.
- Precise, result-oriented, and driven by a can-do attitude.
