SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Data Scientist to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).

SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) Data Scientist to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of advanced analytical models and algorithms to extract insights from complex datasets.
- Architect data science solutions to address critical business or mission challenges.
- Direct the application of machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques.
- Establish best practices for data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions.
- Oversee the deployment and monitoring of data science models.
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 14 years’ experience, or a high school diploma with a minimum of 16 years’ experience.
- An active Secret security clearance with an SSBI.
- DOD Work Role 423 Certs: Security+ or CAP or vendor-specific advanced certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate, IBM Data Science Professional Certificate, Google Data Machine Learning).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and organize materials for In-Progress Review (IPR) meetings.
- Experience producing metrics and reports using Microsoft Office tools.
- Proven administrative support experience, assisting contractor management with various tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
- Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
- Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.
- May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
- It is anticipated that contractor personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations based on USAREUR-AF and Mission Partner requirements.
