We are seeking an AI Business Analyst / Use Case Specialist to support the identification, evaluation, and technical specification of AI integration opportunities within business processes at the European Commission. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business users, project leaders, and development teams to bridge the gap between business needs and technical AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Use Case Definition: Identify, prioritize, and align AI opportunities with organizational goals and business processes.
- Feasibility & Impact Assessments: Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and technical assessments to evaluate business and technical viability of AI use cases.
- Requirement Management: Translate stakeholder needs into structured technical specifications (e.g., LLM workflows, prompt engineering for RAG systems).
- Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documents, including functional/non-functional requirements, data schemas, and integration plans.
- Implementation Oversight: Coordinate and monitor AI use case documentation, solution development, and performance metrics (e.g., model output quality, retrieval accuracy).
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on AI use case status, risks, and stakeholder feedback to project leadership.
- Workshop Facilitation: Support and facilitate AI integration sessions, prompt design discussions, and model output evaluations to ensure business alignment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a communication bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding and alignment across disciplines.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- AI/ML Technologies: Deep understanding of Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs), and prompt engineering.
- Business-Technical Translation: Ability to gather business requirements and convert them into clear, actionable technical deliverables.
- Technical Communication: Skilled in creating structured documentation (e.g., use cases, process flows, system specs) and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adaptability: Capacity to stay abreast of evolving AI/ML technologies and integrate them into dynamic business environments.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Proficient in identifying issues, evaluating options, and designing technically and economically viable AI solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills for facilitating discussions, building consensus, and ensuring alignment.
- Team Collaboration: Active participation in technical meetings, documentation of decisions, and fostering a collaborative work culture.
