We are looking for a talented Accountant to join our team for the Finance Department in Belgium, Rumst
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure Financial Accuracy: By preparing precise general ledger entries and account reconciliations, you’ll help maintain the integrity of financial data across the organization.
- Assure Statutory and Tax Compliance: You will assure all VAT, tax and statutory filings are made and ensure that all underlying transactions are recorded in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support Strategic Decisions: Your financial analyses will provide leadership with insights into variances and trends, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Drive Timely Reporting: By recording transactions promptly, you’ll contribute to timely and accurate financial reporting that meets both internal and external deadlines.
- Enhance Compliance: Your work will directly support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and audit requirements, strengthening internal controls and reducing risk.
- Strengthen Audit Readiness: By responding to auditor inquiries and preparing requested documentation, you’ll ensure smooth audit processes and reinforce transparency.

- Improve Operational Efficiency: Through identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement in accounting processes, you’ll contribute to ongoing process refinement and efficiency.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong Technical Accounting Knowledge: A solid understanding of US GAAP and financial regulations is essential to ensure accurate accounting treatment and compliance across transactions like payroll accounting, tax accounting, both VAT and income tax, and statutory accounting.
- Knowledge on Tax and Statutory Requirements: A profound knowledge on VAT and income tax to prepare tax returns and tax reconciliations, support on tax audits and calculate tax provisions. A good knowledge on statutory requirements to prepare and file annual accounts and comply with all statutory requirements.
- Detail-Oriented Problem Solving: You’ll need sharp analytical skills to manage balance sheet reconciliations, resolve queries, and correct AP errors effectively while maintaining control over financial risks.
- Excellent Communication & Collaboration: As a key liaison with GCC (Shared service center) and other stakeholders, your ability to explain complex financial matters clearly and work cross-functionally will be critical.
- Adaptability & Team Support: Being a reliable backup for team members and responding to evolving business needs with a proactive mindset will help you thrive in this dynamic environment.
Education/ Experience:
- Minimal relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
