The Transportation Coordinator is accountable for the day-to day operations in the Transportation department and for increasing the effectiveness of the transportation network by lowering costs, increasing efficiency and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities:
- Assure the efficient and economical transportation of Mercury Marine products to/from Brunswick Marine in EMEA locations or direct shipments from suppliers to international customers in accordance with organizational policies and in compliance with relevant local, country, and international customs laws and processes.
- Analyze requests, translate needs into a shipping plan in the most cost-effective way and provide recommendations in optimal solutions for marketing events.
- Reception & administrative control of any goods entering on our site by sea, air & land.
- Shipping, billing and follow up of all products (P&A, Engines, Inflatable boats) to Distributors and Dealers.
- Establish operations & calculations required for customs clearance of all import and export shipments in & out BME.
- Ability to draft all transport documents such as shipping instructions, certificate of origin, certificate of conformity, CMR…, ensuring a smooth document flow for on-time receiving/deliveries in an international environment and required for the correct completion of import/export activities in line with our customs agreement and SOX rules.
- Verify and amend if needed letter of credits, establish all necessary paperwork accurately to be compliant with bank requirements and in a timely manner.
- Complete Dangerous Goods declarations in accordance with ADR and IMDG rules and Dangerous Transport regulation.
- Facilitate clear communication between all parties (product planning, customer service, transport companies, Distribution center) to ensure optimal information flow.
- Track/trace shipments, research, resolve issues regarding shipping discrepancies, and communicate in a timely manner to both customers services or buyers.
- Respond to internal customer inquiries about rates/freight quotes for imports and exports in a timely, accurate and consultative manner.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure shipping routes are aligned with our receiving/ shipping process. Drive execution through timely implementation of the best options, in accordance with the transportation strategy.
- Organize the weekly planning of the shipments in and out BME and coordinate with the operational departments involved.
- Control and approve incoming freight invoices.

Qualifications/Experience
- Relevant bachelor degree
- 1-3 years’ experience in international trade, customs or international transportation/logistics
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Advanced level of business English (verbal and written)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Dynamic and proactive
- Organized, precise and conscientious
Our offer:
This exciting position is a Global Grade7 and offers a salary of between €35,000 and €50,000 (payable in 13.92 instalments). Please be aware that this range represents the pay range for all positions within the job grade in which the post falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, experience, and location (country). We also offer the following benefits:
