As Senior Product Owner Governance, you’ll define and lead governance strategy, support our 2030 and Longer term goals, and coordinate sustainability governance across the organization in close collaboration with the Director Group Sustainability.

• Governance domain Strategy:

o Define and track ESG governance targets aligned with bpostgroup’s sustainability roadmap. Lead the Governance squad and collaborate with the Director of Group Sustainability.

o Performance & Compliance: Develop action plans with business units, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with CSRD, CSDDD, and other legal frameworks.

o Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align governance initiatives and reporting. Mentor ESG Product Owners and foster knowledge sharing.

o Data & Reporting: Oversee data collection and analysis, benchmark ESG performance, and deliver clear, actionable reports and dashboards.

o IT Collaboration: Guide agile IT/data teams on sustainability-related developments and ensure timely delivery of digital solutions.

• ESG governance:

o Coordinate annual report and ratings for the ESG domains.

o Lead the design and implementation of a unified ESG governance framework across the Group, ensuring clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment—internally and externally. Translate complex ESG topics into compelling narratives for diverse leadership audiences.

o Prepare, document and communicate the long-term ESG vision. Stay ahead of the game on innovative sustainable models and forward-thinking ESG strategies. Anticipate emerging trends and transform insights into actionable priorities for the 3 ESG domains.

• 
  10+ years of experience in the field of ESG (ideally Governance and Social) and in program management.
• Master’s degree preferred; strong project leadership and data skills required.
• Thorough proficiency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in at least one of the following languages is required: Dutch or French.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks (GRI, SASB, CSRD) and tools like Excel, Power BI.
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills, essential for collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex data findings clearly and concisely.
• Experience in business management where technology is utilized to address business needs.
• Familiarity with IT tools required for agile methodologies, such as Jira, Confluence, Miro.
