At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Software License Manager to join our UniQue team.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining IT asset management processes.
- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of all software assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Manage software assets from planning, request, procurement, approval, deployment, operation/licensing, to retirement.
- Assist in overseeing software licence management processes and procedures, including tracking, monitoring, and optimising the use of software licences to reduce costs and minimise risks.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of IT assets.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to plan and manage the procurement of software assets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and budgetary constraints.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on software and licensing models to colleagues at all levels.
- Monitor and report on the performance of IT assets, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving initiatives to optimise resource utilisation and reduce costs.
- Assisting the Head of Software in contributing to asset and budget planning at operational and strategic levels.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Liaising with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and resolve issues.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Master's degree in IT with minimum of 3 years experience as a Software Licence Manager, Software Licence Consultant, or similar role.
- Previous experience in Tier 1 software vendor licence practices.
- Strong experience in service level management and continuous service improvement.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing vendor relationships.
- Experience managing/leading small team, preferably in international environment.
- Certification in ITIL v4 Foundation.
- Excellent English (C-level, written and spoken).
