Sample Room Officer
Are you accurate, customer-focused, and do you enjoy working according to fixed procedures?
We are looking for a driven Sample Room Officer for our sample department. In this role, you are responsible for the correct execution and registration of sampling tasks according to customer requirements and internal/external procedures. You ensure timely dispatch of samples, accurate administration, and clear communication.
Your responsibilities include:
Executing and following up on sample orders, including the complete sampling and shipping procedure
Preparing shipping certificates (Pro-forma, Phyto, FDA pre-registration)
Creating sample orders in Dynamics Business Central
Managing DHL order administration
Invoicing
ICE and LIFFE sample processing
Reporting and sending sample data to futures markets
Performing quality analyses on cocoa samples
Contributing to effective internal communication
This position is classified as a critical function under the Maritime Security Act of January 1, 2023. Individuals assigned to this function are subject to a mandatory security screening before starting the role.
This screening is conducted by the Federal Police, State Security, and military intelligence service ADIV – and is paid for by the (future) employer.
A positive security clearance is mandatory before employment can commence. If you refuse the security check, you will no longer be eligible for this position.

Good knowledge of MS Office
Basic knowledge of Dutch, French, and English
Experience with or willingness to learn Dynamics Business Central
Familiarity with quality determination of cocoa, coffee, and other natural products (beans, nuts...) is a strong plus
Experience with sampling tasks or laboratory work is an advantage
