For a Novalix insourcing team based in a pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a motivated and skilled Research Associate in Molecular Biology, with a Master's degree and hands-on experience in cell line engineering and molecular techniques. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of genetically modified cell lines and support molecular biology workflows, including PCR-based assays and lentiviral vector production.
In details, key responsibilities are:
- Generate stable and transient cell lines using CRISPR gene editing and transfection/nucleofection techniques.
- Work with both cancer cell lines and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)
- Perform RNA and DNA extraction, quantification, and quality control
- Conduct qPCR and ddPCR assays for gene expression and genomic analysis
- Prepare and optimize lentiviral vectors for gene delivery applications
- Maintain safety and quality standards in viral vector handling and production
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing research projects.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field
- Proven experience in CRISPR editing, transfection/nucleofection, and cell culture
- Strong understanding of PCR techniques and nucleic acid extraction protocols
- Hands-on experience with lentiviral vector production is highly desirable
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize molecular biology protocols
- Familiarity with iPSC culture and differentiation
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
