YOUR TASKS
- support the development of datasets at the intersection of law and economics, as well as analysis of the data
- compiling and structuring detailed data on motions, judicial orders, judge characteristics, and company profiles, on the one hand, and company subsidy applications, on the other hand
- the development of open-source tools as part of an R package
- providing support for academic research projects that utilize the new data sets
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a Master’s degree in economics, business, business engineering, management or statistics
- Strong knowledge of the Bankruptcy Research Database (BRD) and strong interest in extending it
- Strong interest in handling large datasets of company subsidy applications
- Proficiency in data science, including data wrangling, analysis, and R package development
- Experience with legal or financial datasets is a plus
- Ability to work independently and contribute to collaborative research
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 01/08/2025 – 31/12/2025.
- Your contract will start on 1/08/2025 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate). Click here for more information about our salary scales.
