About the role

The Vx Planning Master Data expert is accountable for the :

• Accurate, precise and complete modelisation of the manufacturing network for his/her vaccines portfolio including intervites movements in planning tools (for example : SAP)
• With the objective to get a relevant production plan (PRP) at all steps from pack to bulk (cascade) but also from bulk to pack (optimizer)
• In hand in hand with E2E Product Planners

About the responsibilities

• Product knowledge

  • Each expert manages her/his vaccines portfolio for which she/he must know the products specificities on top of the vaccin strategy to insure an accurate, precise and complete modelisation in the planning tools. For example : what are the the presentations used for that country ? What is the main production site ? What are the alternatives production sites ?

• Master Data Management
  • Master processes and tools specific to manage planning master data and more when it is required (for example : VEEVA)
  • Modelize the manufacturing network for multiple vaccines
    • Create, maintain and clean planning master data in order to get correct and logical production plans at each step respecting and applying defined processes
    • Approve/Reject creation/extension workflows from P030 to P060 and double check that the critical data are correct (for example : packaging site approved by the destination country)
    • Generate P060 extensions for RDC network (regional distribution centers) in order to modelize properly the intersite network
    • Create, maintain and clean the PPM (production process model) in order to insure a correct demande cascade and a correct source of supply in alignment with the vaccine strategy, the focus factory strategy and regulatory approvals. Insure that validity dates are aligned to the implementations dates and/or vaccines strategies (for example : stock built decision)
    • Maintain and update planning master data aligned to strategies’ changes (for example : focus factory change)
    • Ask for relevant P060 VP creation to local master data team respecting regulatory constraints and track the progress collaborating with local master data and TLCM.
    • Maintain advanced modelisations as Transportation Lanes, Quotas and Super Session Chains in order to reflect specific needs
    • Clean proactively the master data to keep the planning tools efficient and readable and to facilitate back-up activities
    • Identify proactively gaps in master data and solve them
  • Prepare and participate to Product Tree Meetings (or any meeting relevant to the Vx Planning Master Data topics)
    • Translate the decisions taken during the meeting with appropriate and correct modelisation and track the open points in order to aligne the system to the product tree
    • Analyze proactively the status of the portfolio in order to suggest cleaning opportunities in order to maintain tools with proper, simple, and readable data
    • Indicate clearly to our QA partners the need to update the submissions master data when relevant (For example : at FC creation)

• Technical Knowledge
  • Understand and master the logics behind the planning tools in order to modelize the network in the most relevant, appropriate and efficient way
  • Use available tools (for example : DCC) to manage master data more effectively and with the capacity to take a critical step back
  • Put in place tools easing the control and checks of master data quality
  • Support and advice in projects impacting master data planning and implement the needed changes in the planning tools (for example : New RDC plant)
  • Become an modelisation expert in order to support and translate any specific requests from the E2E Product Planners
  • Learn and assimilate quickly new tools and processes autonomously

• Collaboration and Communication
  • Be the point of contact for any questions related to planning master data and modelisation for his/her portfolio
  • Communicate proactively with the E2E product planners any relevant/critical information regarding new modelisation or correction of master data having an impact on the plan
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with multiples partners : E2E teams, TLCM, QA, Local Master Data team, GPO

• Continuous Improvement
  • Escalate processes or systems gaps impacting negatively the modelisation to GPO or N+1.
  • Suggest and drive processus and systems improvements in order to fix the gaps, increase master data quality and performance

• Global Variations
  • Understand the change controls ways of working within GSK Vaccines and be able to evaluate the impact on his/her own work and scope (not only RA related)
  • Follow-up on markets regulatory approvals in order to translate them into the modelisation either through information received from the E2E teams, or projects or VEEVA, etc.

• Coaching & BUA
  • Act as back-up for his/her colleagues for any type of activities and any vaccines
  • Welcome and train newcomers
  • Accountable for planning master data trainings for any newcomers within planning department
  • Accountable for the planning master data documentation (SOP, WKI, TEC)

About the responsibilities

• English speaking and writing is a must (minimum B1 level), French is a plus
