Role description
An element to ensure that Client remains to be perceived as a “trusted financial companion”, the bank has to provide certainty: it has to minimise the error impact and put the customer first. The staff of Operational Permanent Control (OPC) guarantees that at all time the operational risks are under control. These risks are front-to-back and include the aspects of Fraud, Conduct, Compliance, Regulatory, ICT Risk, Third Party and other risk types identified with other internal control functions to which our teams at Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB: forex, interest rate derivatives, securities, structured/syndicated loans, mergers…) are exposed.
Within the department of Corporate Banking:
we provide advice to improve / correct operational risks / hiccups (flaws, regulatory non-conformity, etc.);
we (co)define and draw attention to upcoming changes having an impact on the operational risk profile;
we report control results and status of remediating actions, with escalation (if needed).
To able to guarantee the above, we are in regular contact with the Business Managers in our scope (Front-to-Ops), the Functions of the Bank (Risk, Compliance, etc.), and the Internal Audit.
Within CIB Client , we are regularly in contact with our colleagues in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle-East, and Africa) – especially with our colleagues in Paris – to:
