As a Senior Event Strategist, you will lead the design and delivery of impactful, inclusive, and sustainable events for EU Institutions. You’ll manage cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure every event meets strategic objectives and exceeds expectations.
Event Strategy & Leadership
Drive the strategic planning and execution of medium to large-scale events across Europe.
Lead and inspire an event implementation team, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery.
Translate client goals into engaging event experiences that reflect inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, offering expert guidance and ensuring high-quality service in collaboration with Client Services.
Experience Design
Collaborate with creative teams to bring bold, audience-centric concepts to life—within budget and on brand.
Ensure all event formats (physical, hybrid, online) are accessible, inclusive, and environmentally conscious.
Deliver innovative solutions that align with client objectives and uphold excellence.
Event Operations
Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to maximize value for both agency and client.
Oversee external suppliers, venues, and local partners across Europe.
Provide hands-on leadership during event execution, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional delivery.
Business Development
Contribute to the development of compelling technical and financial proposals for tenders and new business opportunities.
Offer strategic insights to grow our events portfolio and strengthen our market positioning.
7–8 years of experience in event management, ideally within a communications agency or EU institutional setting.
3–5 years of leadership experience, including budget optimization, supplier negotiation, and quality control.
A passion for creating memorable, mission-driven events and a keen interest in institutional communications.
Proven success in delivering both physical and digital events across multiple countries.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a sharp eye for detail (Prince2 or PM² certification is a plus).
A client-first mindset, with a commitment to responsiveness, professionalism, and service excellence.
Familiarity with the Brussels event ecosystem.
Proficiency in tools such as Zoom, Teams, Webex, Interactio, Sli.do, Hopin, CVENT, Swoogo, and B2Match.
Strong communication skills in English; French or Dutch is a strong asset. Additional languages (German, Spanish) are a plus.
Curiosity about how AI can enhance event planning and delivery—and awareness of its challenges.
A university degree in a relevant field.
