Primary Purpose of the Position
- Expand tire sales growth for new and existing accounts for new and retread tires across all aviation market segments, delivering volumes and maximizing business profitability.
- Primary contact for Goodyear at Commercial Airline accounts: responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements.
- Support Regional Aviation, General Aviation and Corporate Jets businesses through efforts at Key local Distributors and MROs. Also manage the relationships with Key local OEMs and landing Gear + wheel manufacturers.
- Perform activities that support the S&OP process.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and target growth opportunities:
- Analyse the market of the sales area focussing on the customers' potential, strategy & needs, the competition strengths and weaknesses.
- Target the key businesses, create a relevant value proposition, communicate and establish contacts with the key stakeholders.
Win new Key Commercial Airline business by responding to RFP’s:
- Coordinate all activities from all internal functional resources including engineering, supply chain, marketing, leadership & others to meet RFP requirements & deadlines.
- Coordinate activities related to new business acquisition. This involves proposal writing, leading team negotiations & contract development.
Manage Key Customers Relationship:
- Have regular contact and communication interface, work with key purchasing, engineering, maintenance and account payable personnel, etc. at all levels. Manage the pricing negotiation and execution.
- Conduct fleet survey and product performance analysis.
- Coordinates with product support personnel to ensure that appropriate service and correct tire care & maintenance is executed.
- Using internal support, resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
Secure accurate planning information:
- For each existing customer & potential new customers including monthly forecast, AOP, RvCC, Roadmap.
- Coordinate this information with supply chain to ensure that the right quantity tires are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
- Execute the administrative and logistic follow up on the orders in cooperation with the Customer Service department.
Highlight Goodyear Products:
- In relation with the marketing department, participate to build brand awareness by using any opportunities to communicate on Goodyear aviation tires.
- Participate in industry & OEM shows.
To join our team, you will need:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree is required. In the area of a technical or a business-related is advantageous.
Experience:
- Successful experience in selling a technical product B2B in the aviation (Automotive) industry (5-8 years).
- Key Account management and planning in a multicultural and international environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Language: Fluent in English, French and Dutch.
- Business data analytical skills to recognize emerging trends/opportunities and ability to make fact-based decisions.
- Thorough understanding of the Aviation (Tire) Industry, including competition's approach to each segment.
- Understanding of the interdependence of technology, production and marketing organizations on one another.
