About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Functional Analyst with strong expertise in passenger information systems to join our client’s team in Brussels. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that functional requirements are well defined, documented, and translated into solutions that align with project objectives. The role requires fluency in Dutch and French, with solid experience working in Agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for passenger information systems.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, testers, and external vendors.
- Use project tracking and documentation tools (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint) to manage requirements and workflows.
- Support Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.).
- Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Provide support during testing, validation, and acceptance phases.
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and outsourced technical partners.
- Prepare and maintain functional documentation and process flows.

Requirements
Must Have:
- 6+ years of proven experience as a Functional Analyst.
- Hands-on experience in Agile environments.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint (or equivalent project tracking/documentation tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Language skills: C-level in Dutch/French + B-level in Dutch/French (oral & written).
Nice to Have:
- Prince2 or similar project management certification.
- Experience collaborating with outsourced partners.
- Knowledge of Linux and SQL.
- Background in passenger information systems or transport/railway industry.
