We are looking for an intern for a 6-month period to start in September and join the Region North Finance team.
The internship will allow you to be fully immersed in understanding the 11 markets in our scope (Benelux, Nordics and Baltics), performing deep dive analysis and forecasting of financials and providing accurate and timely information. At Abbott, we do work that matters! For this internship, you will be part of our Medical Devices- Structural Heart (SH) division.
As our Intern, you will support us by:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Support the month-end closing processes.
Conduct variance analysis and identify trends in financial performance.
Providing ongoing standard analysis and reports on all levels of the P&L, mainly revenue, margin and operating expenses.
Create and maintain process flowcharts, manuals, and guidelines.
Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for team members.
Collaborate with various departments by creating a system to enable better operating expenditure tracking
Profile of the intern
University degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Commercial Engineering. Ideally pursuing a master’s degree in the same areas.
Proficiency in MS Excel is required.
Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI) and SAP is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and financial analysis acumen.
Naturally curious and eagerness to learn.
Organized, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of projects.
Exemplary reporting and communication skills.
English is mandatory; any additional language is an asset.
A first internship experience would be a plus.
