Responsibilities
- Responsibility over regional transfer pricing governance, documentation and maintenance (in partnership with the Accounting, Controlling and IT teams)
- Regional and cross-regional transfer pricing controversy management and audit support (in partnership with the entity finance leaders and the regional tax managers)
- Proactive transfer pricing risk identification and management
- Ownership over TP documentation processes, whereby focusing on efficiency and automation, and improving overall quality
- Maintenance and improvement of the governance models and corresponding documentation for strategic entities
- Tracking of all significant intragroup transactions and the related documentation in the areas of product, service and financial transfer pricing
- Assistance in various international tax projects and research on specific technical tax issues.
- Management of the external transfer pricing advisors
Qualifications
- Accounting, economics or law degree
- Ideally 5-7 years tax experience focused on international transfer pricing; in-house / industry experience is a plus
- Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel) and interest to develop broader technology skills
- knowledge of financial/tax modeling
Specific Skills
- In-depth knowledge of the OECD transfer pricing principles, and their application in major jurisdictions (e.g. the US, UK, Belgium, Germany)
- Strong business orientation and proven track record as an effective business partner
- Excellent leadership (with emphasis on informal leadership), communication and project management skills
- Oriented towards collaborative problem solving & decision making
- Analytical approach coupled with a strong attention to detail and impact analysis
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse organization
- Results driven strategic thinker able to agree priorities, develop operational plans and deliver results
- Ability to work within a cross-functional team and delegate, mentor and guide the finance function in the area of transfer pricing processes.
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to deliver results independently yet in team alignment in a high growth, fast-paced, multi-facility environment.
- Willingness to operate on a flexible schedule and travel occasionally.
