Mission Overview:
Keystone Solutions is seeking a Database Administrator to engage in a consultancy mission at a client site. The successful candidate will support the maintenance of the current database landscape while migrating it to a more digital environment. This role offers an opportunity to work as a Keystone Solutions consultant, providing essential support to our client, a key player in mobility with around 1000 parking lots across 9 European countries.
Key Responsibilities:
The Database Administrator will perform the following responsibilities as a consultant for Keystone Solutions, working closely with the client:
- Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance: Install, configure, upgrade, administer, monitor, and maintain the client's databases, primarily Microsoft SQL Server and some PostgreSQL.
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for database-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor database activity and resource usage, optimize database performance, and plan for forecast resource needs.
- Documentation and Standards: Draft and maintain procedures and documentation for databases. Manage database configuration, including installing and upgrading software, and maintain relevant documentation. Contribute to the setting of standards for the definition, security, and integrity of database objects and ensure conformance to these standards.
- Problem Investigation and Reporting: Use database management system software and tools, and knowledge of logical database schemata, to investigate problems, collect performance statistics, and create reports.
- Routine Configuration: Carry out routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of databases and related products.
- Cloudification: Support the cloudification of the database landscape, including database deployment on Microsoft Azure.
Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of practical experience in Database Administration, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server.
- A proven track record of database deployment on Microsoft Azure.
