The Legal status database covers millions of records that can cover a broad historic of legal statuses on a company (such as active, inactive, dissolved, or a transitory status).
The Role:
As part of the Legal Status Team, you will analyze new legal data sets in different languages, and you will carry out verifications with the aim to give your approval of ingestion. You will be reporting to your supervisor and have contacts with colleagues inside and outside the team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the quality of data elements from ingestion to publication
- Analyze data sets in different languages to provide feedback on the relevance of data to impact our legal status database.
- Analyze data for integration by understanding the data given the country’s legislation and standardizing it, setting rules for transformation, testing the accuracy of transformation rules applied to data and providing approval of ingestion into the Legal status database and the disclose in our global product.
- Work in maintenance tasks related to corrections or adaptations of data-related treatments and rules that transform our raw data - this includes identifying the original issue and setting the most efficient solution.
- Write notes and follow up the integration of data in Databases.
- Provide top quality documentation on collection methods, internal procedures and processes (existing and new ones), definitions and meta data.
- Improve existing processes and procedures such as finding a permanent solution to a recurring problem.
- Perform quality checks and data validation tasks on current ingested feeds.
- Supervise the data workflow into the software (understand the search indexes and logic, responsible for bug fixes, provide guidance to QA).
- Support clients and internal stakeholders with data-related requests.
Qualifications
- An undergraduate or advanced degree with coursework related to the legal field preferred or with keen interest in a business legal lifecycle.
- Structured, organized with high ability on task prioritization.
- Strong detail-orientation balanced by the ability to understand the larger picture of a system.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- At least mid-level experience on SQL and Excel and a first experience on Python.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to adapt the content of one’s speech to a varied range of audiences, as you’ll be working cross-functionally.
- Enjoys working as part of a team, as well as undertakes projects independently.
- Resilient, curious, and driven by a life-long learner mentality, with the ability to independently acquire and adapt to new technologies and skills.
- Strong verbal and writing skills in English.
