As a Controlling Analyst Downstream, you transform complex data into strategic insights and financial clarity. Your expertise in gross margin analysis, variance reporting, and budget forecasting will be pivotal in guiding the Luminus Group COMEX, Downstream management and EDF Group towards informed decisions and strategic success.
What you’ll do
- You lead of the month-end and year-end closing processes: executing key tasks with precision, analyzing variances and delivering clear financial insights that drive decision-making.
- You co-create budgets and (re-)forecasts with Retail & BTB teams, challenging assumptions to ensure transparency and alignment with both operational goals and the broader ambitions of Luminus Group.
- As a trusted business partner, you support Retail & BTB and Finance management in interpreting downstream financials and provide deep-dive profitability analyses that influence strategic, value-driven choices.
- You streamline processes through automation and data optimization, using tools like Power Query to enhance efficiency and accuracy. You act as SPOC for IT-related improvements in downstream activities.
- You initiate and manage financial projects that enhance operational effectiveness and financial performance, ensuring alignment with group-wide strategies.
- You collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies that fuel business growth, sustainability and a culture of continuous improvement.
What you bring
- A Master’s degree in Economics, Data & Analytics or you show us you have built up experience equal to this degree.
- You are proficient in MS Office and have expertise in data analysis, modeling and reporting tools like Power Query and Power BI.
- You use your strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
- You have a first experience with SAP and a keen interest in process automation.
- You possess strong interpersonal, presentation and communication abilities.
- You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
