As a Cloud Platform Solution Engineer, you will join the Telenet Cloud Platform Solutions Team. Our team acts as the first point of contact for internal customers seeking IT infrastructure solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud. Together with the customer, we design and guide the selection of the right infrastructure services offered by our Cloud Infrastructure platforms.
Besides our role in solution and architecture advisory, we also own and manage the CI Portal, the central platform where users can request, consume, and interact with our infrastructure services. As part of the team, you will help further evolve the CI Portal into a full self-service environment.

Your tasks as a Cloud Platform Solution Engineer
- Solution & Architecture Advisory: Guide internal customers in identifying and selecting the best-fit infrastructure services to meet their business needs.
- Platform Ownership (CI Portal): Actively contribute to the management, optimization, and future development of the CI Portal as a key internal self-service platform.
- Infrastructure Expertise: Provide technical advice on cloud and on-premises solutions, ensuring they meet scalability, security, and performance requirements.
- Innovation: Propose creative solutions for new challenges and support the transformation of our services into a fully digitalized, self-service model.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal teams, architects, and external partners to align solutions with business needs and strategic objectives.
- Agile Way of Working: Participate in agile ceremonies such as refinements, sprint planning, and reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Cost Management: Provide cost estimates and optimize solutions from a budget and operational efficiency perspective.

PaaS (Platform as a Service):
- Understanding of container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, cloud-native services).
- Familiarity with APIs, API gateways, file transfer services, and relational/non-relational database platforms.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with project management practices and agile working methods.
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are considered a strong plus.
