Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Associate Commercial Director to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will partner closely with the Commercial Director and the International Corporate Clients (ICC) team to drive financial and commercial performance. You’ll help provide the Key Account Management (KAM) team with actionable insights and robust financial tools to inform strategic decisions and improve contract outcomes across a global portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with outputs to Operations and Central Finance, including balance sheet reconciliations, WIP reporting, and contract performance tracking.
- Collaborate with Central and local Commercial Managers on quarterly and annual financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Support monthly financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Analyze cost bases and review local country financial results to identify areas for performance improvement.
- Work alongside operational teams to enhance commercial outcomes across key contracts.
- Drive process improvement to reduce manual tasks and enhance financial workflows.
- Prepare key reporting outputs (MBRs, QBRs, Country Deep Dives) to support operational performance reviews.
- Contribute to the standardization of commercial outputs across departments.
- Support the development of resilient business processes in line with organizational change.
- Engage with the wider KAM team to promote digital transformation across the portfolio.
- Perform other duties as required by the line manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in a deadline-driven financial environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide value-adding insights.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Flexible and resilient under pressure.
