Silverfin is a cutting-edge cloud software solution built by accountants, for accountants.
Founded in 2013, Silverfin was created to solve the frustrations of manual, error-prone processes in analysing financial data and compliance. From day one, we’ve been a cloud-first platform with an open API architecture, leveraging structured data to transform how accountants work.
Our mission is simple: to enhance and support the accountancy profession through AI and automation, ensuring accountants remain relevant and respected in the future of finance.
In 2023, Silverfin became part of the Visma Group, joining one of Europe’s leading providers of cloud software. This partnership strengthens our ability to innovate and expand our impact within the accountancy industry.
Today, Silverfin is trusted by over 930 firms across 16 countries. Our clients include all of the Big 4 accounting firms, as well as leading global networks like BDO, PKF, Baker Tilly, Grant Thornton, and Moore.
Headquartered in Ghent, with offices in London, Luxembourg, Gouda (NL), and Mont-Saint-Guibert, we’re a team of over 180 people - including a diverse remote engineering team working across multiple time zones - all working together to drive innovation in accounting.
The Role: Senior Product Manager, Belgium
As Senior Product Manager for our Belgian product team, you will be responsible for setting product strategy and delivering outcomes that meet the needs of our Belgian customers and align with Silverfin’s broader goals.
You will lead a team of product managers and domain experts, own the end-to-end delivery and lifecycle of multiple initiatives, and act as a key strategic voice for the Belgian market. You will also be expected to exercise sound commercial judgment, influence go-to-market decisions, and ensure we maintain product excellence in a highly nuanced regulatory landscape.
This role is based in Ghent with hybrid flexibility, and reports into the Head of Product (Markets).
Strategic Ownership
- Develop and evolve the Belgium product strategy in line with Silverfin’s objectives and local market needs.
- Drive portfolio-level roadmaps (referred to as product plan here at Silverfin),, using structured prioritisation methods (e.g. RICE) and market insight.
- Maintain a clear line of sight to commercial outcomes, customer success, and growth opportunities.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of product managers and domain experts.
- Set high standards for documentation, briefs, and product decision quality. This is outlined in our team's ways of working.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture centred on accountability, clarity, and customer impact.
Product Delivery
- Lead discovery, synthesis, and definition of product requirements that balance user value, feasibility, and business value.
- Partner with engineering (referred to as Technology internally), product design, and customer-facing teams to deliver exceptional, compliant solutions.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment across departments, including General Manager, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing.
Commercial & Customer Acumen
- Validate market opportunities through engagement with key customers and analysis of competitive and legislative landscapes.
- Translate customer feedback and compliance changes into product improvements that deliver real value.
- Shape product positioning and internal enablement; there is no separate product marketing function—this is part of the role.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure high hygiene in documentation: up-to-date roadmaps, thorough feature briefs, and visibility on progress.
- Lead quarterly planning and maintain cross-functional alignment across multiple initiatives.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in full-stack product management (discovery through go-to-market), ideally in a SaaS or regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach product teams, especially in complex or regulated domains.
- Strong commercial acumen: able to articulate trade-offs, understand total addressable market (TAM), and link product decisions to business results.
- Familiarity with the Belgian accountancy space, with a strong grasp of its workflows, regulatory context, and customer profiles.
- Fluent in Dutch, with professional fluency in English.
- Excellent communicator, able to build trust and alignment across functions and levels.
- Experience with prioritisation frameworks (e.g. RICE), discovery processes, and writing high-quality product documentation.
What Success Looks Like
- You have shaped and executed a Belgium product strategy that’s grounded in insight and clearly delivers on commercial and customer outcomes.
- Your team is engaged, aligned, and producing clear, high-quality work with minimal oversight.
- You’ve earned trust across the organisation as a strategic, reliable, and effective product leader.
- Customers see tangible improvements in their workflows, and Silverfin’s value proposition in Belgium continues to strengthen.
