Johnson&Johnson Innovative medicines is recruiting for a Senior principle scientist, scientific integrator, located in Beerse, Belgium
In the chemical process research and development (CPRD) department the scientific integrator small molecules takes a key role in leading projects. The scientific integrator represents the department at the CMC-team and works together with internal and external team members on the development of our small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project manager within CPRD, works together with lead process chemists, analysts and engineers to develop a process towards commercialization.
- Establishes priorities, checkpoints, and time frames in support of objectives and for the adequate progress of team projects and objectives.
- Represents CPRD in the CMC-team.
- Creates and handles development budgets.
- Report and presents progress to different collaborators (management, CMC-team, ...).
- Provides reports and text to be used in clinical and commercial filings. Reviews and redacts documentation of other team members.
Qualifications
Education:
- PhD in Chemistry with consistent track record of developing processes in a pharmaceutical industry setting.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- 5+ years of experience of directing a team in a small molecule API process development function.
- Demonstrated ability to scale processes to large scale manufacturing.
- Proven to be able to lead a project team but also be performant as a team member of the CMC-teams.
- Detail oriented but also able to make quick decisions where needed.
- Strategic problem solver
Preferred:
- Able to implement artificial intelligence as tool to improve our way of working

- This function might require up to 10 % of international travel.
