Now there is a great opportunity to join our dynamic Beverage team as Global Application Manager to lead our global application team and develop next generation applications that inspire our customers.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the global Beverage ISOL application team based in different locations (Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium), creating a high performing team.
- Act as first point of contact for application for the Beverages business (strategy & business development, innovation) driving the application activities to support new developments, value propositions and implementation of new and existing products and concepts.
- Sales: Provide expert advice on technical questions that cannot be handled by the technical sales managers, prepare compelling … customers
- Actively nurture the collaboration with application colleagues in in Taste, Technical Sales Managers and nutrition premix formulators to develop joint concepts, leverage overall know-how and coordinate activities.
- Continuously ensure capabilities and skills are future proof,
- Responsible for the QESH performance of the team; this includes steering behavior and actively Ensure QESH implementation in work plans and in executing work in line with DSM-Firmenich guidelines

You bring
- Master Degree in science or technology for food and beverages. Minimum 10 years’ experience in product development and application for beverages, preferably across a range of beverage types (soft drinks, sports drinks, juices, beer). Deep understanding of the role and application of functional ingredients in beverages (vitamins, minerals, colors, hydrocolloids etc)
- Proven ability to lead teams, with team members in different locations. Inspires, coaches and develops people.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in cross functional teams, with colleagues based locally as well as in other locations.
- A strong sense of accountability – you take initiative, speak up, and see things through. You are responsible and focus on what matters, setting clear priorities.
- Creative and open mindset to understand what makes a commercially attractive application and able to translate consumer trends and technical possibilities into inspiring applications.
- Good stakeholder management capabilities, able to navigate complex organisation with multiple internal and external customers.
- Comfortable to present to customers with strong technical credibility.
