We are looking for a (Senior) Financial Analyst – Region South to join our Heart Failure Division at Abbott, based in Brussels.
About the Opportunity
The primary focus of this role is the support of the Commercial Teams and the Regional Controller in the day-to-day operations as well as on the medium/long term planning processes and ad-hoc requests. Eventually, the successful candidate will become the point of contact for the teams for key selected finance related topics and owner of specific tasks

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Regional Controller in the management of the full P&L of the Region South (both at country level and consolidated view)
- Take progressive ownership of specific parts of P&L (i.e. marketing activities/scrap)
- Support Commercial team and Regional Controller in the development and the delivery of all budget/forecast commitments during the year, creating and rolling out appropriate templates, following up on their completion and ensuring timely submission of the material
- Support Regional Controller in all Balance Sheet work, coordinating with European Headquarter FP&A
- Ensure full financial compliance with all activities in scope and support process improvement initiatives.
- Provide ongoing standard analysis on all levels of the P&L (both country level and consolidated), mainly revenue, margin and operating expenses, identifying risks/opportunities
- At country level, support the management of agents (commissions’ calculations, contracts management) and distributors (development of business cases, contracts management)
- Actively work with the European Headquarter FP&A group and Shared Service Center on closing processes, DSO management and account receivable collections, Treasury (to define payment terms) and Customer Service to drive results and expected outcomes.
Key Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business and/or Finance.
- Similar work experience of at least 5 years in an international corporate environment is critical to be successful.
- Proficiency on large data handling and tool-driven data analysis. Strong experiences on Excel and an established data-cube system (Hyperion, Dodeca, etc.). SAP/Power BI capabilities are a plus.
- Prior experiences should have been gained in product-related industries, preferably in a Commercial Finance context. MedTech industry experience is a plus.
- Quick adaptability to different cultures, mindsets, point of views and willingness to travel sporadically
- Resiliency, eye for the details, curiosity and ability to thrive even in busy periods
- Team player within a matrix organization design
- Fluent (spoken and written) in English, Italian considered a strong plus
