Research Engineer AI in HealthCare
Driving Innovation in healthcare
At Barco, we design cutting-edge technology that enhances everyday life. We go beyond the image, creating integrated solutions in sight, sound, and sharing that empower people to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and captivate audiences.
Healthcare is one of Barco’s core markets. For years, we’ve contributed to breakthroughs in radiology, mammography, surgery, dermatology, dentistry, pathology, and more. Now, our HealthCare Diagnostic Imaging business unit is expanding its portfolio with AI-enabled solutions.
One of our pioneering innovations is SlideRightQA™, an AI-powered quality assurance tool for digital pathology. It automates the detection of slide scan quality issues, optimizing the workflow and ensuring reliable diagnostics. After evolving from a seed project to a strategic growth initiative in Barco Labs, SlideRightQA™ is now transitioning into the Diagnostic Imaging business unit.
