As a Quality Manager you are responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising the project’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control program. You ensure that all QA/QC activities are carried out effectively and in full compliance with client requirements and project standards. You will be working on our project in Farciennes.
What you’ll do:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and lead the project’s QA/QC Plan.
- Act as the single point of contact for the client regarding all QA/QC matters.
- Ensure full compliance with the client’s quality requirements throughout the project.
- Organize and lead the QA/QC kick-off, weekly QA/QC meetings, and attend bi-weekly meetings with the client’s QCx team.
- Prepare and lead the internal weekly quality meeting, including preparing presentations, monitoring quality KPIs, updating actions, and sharing quality priorities with the project team.
- Supervise quality documentation management, including the use of BIM360 Field Management, and ensure weekly compliance audits.
- Manage and close quality issues and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in collaboration with the production team.
- Monitor quality KPIs, analyze trends, and ensure objectives are achieved before project handover.
- Identify recurring issues, develop, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Supervise planning of inspections (tags, checklists, AHJ inspections, punch lists).
- Manage Quality Supervisors, ensure their coordination, skills development, and efficient task allocation on site.
- Coordinate training of project team members on quality requirements and procedures.
- Participate in audits and ensure calibration of Measurement and Test Equipment (MTE).
- Facilitate cross-project collaboration to ensure lessons learned and continuous improvement are captured and shared.
- Be present full-time on site for the duration of the project.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience.
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in QC and/or commissioning of MEP equipment.
- Experience with construction scheduling.
- Experience in project administration and/or project management.
- Proven experience in managing a quality program.
- Experience in leading a team and supervising Quality Supervisors.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or quality, or equivalent validated experience.
- Quality certifications (e.g., Lead Auditor ISO 9001) are an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, leadership, and diplomacy to enforce quality requirements.
- Solid proficiency with Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
- Good command of digital QA/QC tools and platforms (e.g., BIM360 Field Management).
- Sufficient level of technical English, spoken and written, for documentation and client communication.
