Valeo’s VIE Program?

The Valeo VIE Program is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. This program is to work for one of our subsidiaries around the world!

The site of Le Hainaut based in Belgium belongs to Light Division. We are looking for a VIE Project buyer for 12 months within the team.

Your challenges?

• You lead and/or support all project activities where purchasing is involved till completion of project closure

• You support Project Manager in preparation of sourcing plan 

• You select supplier bid-list based on compliant segment panel and liaise with project and segment organizations to identify bundle opportunities

• You identify critical parts as per CLEAN definitions and review contingency plan with related PTM 

• You plan supplier design reviews to:

- ensure Supplier full understanding,

- capture improvement proposals,

- obtain Supplier acceptance of Valeo Requirements,

- enhances competition at equivalent scope

• You involve segment leader (or group segment director) in appropriate timing to share project constraints and propose sourcing strategy compliant with group segment strategy

• You assess pre-selected suppliers risk impacts on the project 

• You propose with project team & commodity organization mitigation plan 

• You propose lotting and RFP tactics and anticipate use of auctions with the project team

• You ensure creation of early open order in SAP in coordination with productivity buyer

• You define and control communication flows and contents between project teams and suppliers

• You are graduated from a master degree 

• You already have experience in purchasing

• You have a fluent level of English

• You have good communication skills, have an international mindset and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking

• You are humble, listening, positive attitude oriented, professional, and have the sense of diplomacy
