Jan De Nul is on the lookout for a new Project Survey Manager. Our survey department is supporting every maritime and/or offshore project of Jan De Nul with a team of 120 surveyors operating worldwide. As a Project survey manager, you are responsible for all survey activities and related survey hardware installation on a dredging or offshore project. The Project Survey Manager will manage all needs and guide your team to deliver all required survey data within the required accuracy and in time.
Your responsibilities as Project Survey Manager are:
- You will have an in depth knowledge of the survey and design requirement on the specific project
- Prior to the start of the project all required survey information is gathered to start the project
- Based on the contractual requirements the project survey manager will also prepare all survey method statement and give survey input to Inspection and Test plans, which are used to control our operational process and get to the result.
- You will be responsible to mobilize all required hardware and software to meet the expectations of the client and to be able to measure all required info for the operational process
- The planning of your team and equipment is prepared based on the survey tasks required for the project
- From day to day you will liaise with the project management to align planning and survey requirement to monitor our dredging or offshore project.
- You will be monitoring if all survey works are performed according to the Jan De Nul Quality Plan. By organizing the required verification and calibrations.
- In order to achieve high accurate measurement it is also important all high tech hardware is well maintained.
- Aside of reporting to the project management team you will also report to the head office about the survey activities, lessons learnt and upcoming challenges
- You will organize all final deliverables
- In case survey work is subcontracted the project survey manager will also follow up on this contract from a technical and commercial perspective
What do you need to have?
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in a survey related discipline, such as geology, geophysics, hydrography, topography, ICT and/or Electronics. You have experience in a managing position. You are a teamplayer, have excellent planning and project management skills. You follow a rotation: 2 months work / 1 month holiday.
