About the role:
The Production Planning Support role is a critical position that collaborates with the Site Planning Team to streamline production activities, analyze data, and optimize planning processes in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on enhancing planning tools, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
How you will contribute:
- Assist in creating production schedules to meet deadlines and demands.
- Monitor progress on schedules and respond to issues like material shortages or equipment bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse) to ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze planning processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement solutions to enhance scalability and workflow efficiency.
- Introduce best practices for performance monitoring and data collection.
- Evaluate and improve planning tools for better tracking, customization, and reporting.
- Collaborate with global/local Subject Matter Experts on tool upgrades.
- Train staff on new planning tools and enhancements.
- Track and report KPIs like schedule adherence and resource efficiency.
- Prepare documentation for GMP and regulatory compliance.
- Provide analytics-driven insights for management decisions.
What you bring to Takeda:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- 1–3 years in production planning or similar roles within the pharmaceutical or a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP standards and manufacturing workflows.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP PP/MM, Oracle).
- Strong in data analysis and tools like Excel, Power BI.
- Problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication; fluency in English.
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical batch processing and inventory management is preferred.

Important Considerations:
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to create quality products, and we aim to create a safe environment for our team members. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product or putting anyone at the site in harm's way. In this role, you may:
- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, hot environment and load manual handling.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals and biologicals products that may require specific protection (respiratory, skin, etc.).
