To support our growth at Mediabrands, we are looking for rockstar talent to join the team.
As a Media Buyer/Expert for press, you are responsible for planning, negotiating, and purchasing advertising space in press media (both print and digital).
You work closely with strategic planning, creative teams, and media sales representatives to ensure optimal visibility for campaigns at the best possible cost.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze client briefs and campaign objectives.
- Select appropriate press titles (magazines, newspapers, trade press, online editions).
- Develop press media plans (publishing calendar, formats, placements).
- Negotiate with media sales houses to obtain the best rates and conditions.
- Manage administrative follow-up for media buys: cost estimate, purchase orders, quotes, invoices.
- Monitor competitors’ activity in the press.
- Report on campaign performance: monitor insertions, create post-campaign reports, and measure ROI.
Are you the one?
- 1–4 years of experience in media buying, ideally in an agency, capable of managing campaigns independently.
- Degree in marketing, communications, or media (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
- Solid knowledge of the press landscape (print and digital) and media vendors.
- Negotiation, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in office tools (especially Excel) and media planning/buying tools (e.g., Kantar, Retriever etc.).
- Curious, detail-oriented, and a team player
