Through its Asset & Liability management, the management is the essential partner in the development and pricing of life insurance products, as well as monitoring their profitability. With their expert knowledge and experience of the financial markets, the management of ALM & Investments acts as the first line of defence against the financial risks to which the company is exposed (risks of liquidity, interest rates, exchange rates, etc.).
The ALM Monitoring & Reporting team, comprising a Manager and 4 co-workers, is responsible for the production and analysis of the targets, budgets and plans regarding the investments. The team is also responsible for the development and maintenance of its Reporting. We act as independent challengers to the Front-Office business by analysing the impacts of their decisions, as well as making recommendations proactively on the basis of the results expected compared with the results actually achieved.

The Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting ALM Expert
- undertakes various monitoring tasks (ensuring sufficiency of FX cover, keeping an eye on rating migrations, etc.) and coordinates the process relating to the decision-making on new investments;
- is the preferred partner for any information and questions regarding the financial results achieved (closures) and projected (Target – Budget – Plan);
- is responsible for the production and analysis of the projections;
- supports the CIO in his decision-making and the Front-Office in the day-to-day management of the investment portfolios. Its expertise enables it to issue warnings and propose solutions regarding the management of the portfolios;
- is responsible for ensuring the adequacy of the assets & liabilities in the investment portfolios;
- develops its tools, its monitoring environment and its portfolio of reports. The continual improvement and adaptation of the tools in the context of improvements in communications and changes to the accounting environment is a leitmotif.
Your profile
- You have a Master's degree in commercial sciences, business administration (MBA) or in exact sciences with 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position.
- Technical and professional skills:
- Knowledge of accounting and taxation for financial assets and derivative products
- Knowledge of insurance (life and non-life) products, of the SAS E-Guide and the ability to code in VBA are nice to have.
- Personal skills: Independent, strong analytical ability, willing to take the initiative, results-oriented, able to cope with stress, able to challenge and interact with many different interlocutors.
- Language skills: French and/or Dutch and a good working knowledge of English is essential.
