As Partnership Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our ecosystem of strategic partnerships —primarily with major European software resellers. You’ll work to integrate and promote Academic Software’s platforms as the preferred solution for procurement & deployment of software, GPDR compliance, Cloud & AI access in the education sector.
This role combines commercial strategy with relational depth. You'll develop strong, lasting relationships with partners, helping them leverage one or more of our core platforms:
Software Procurement & Deployment
AI model access
Cloud access & approval (student access to university-managed cloud resources)
GDPR/DPIA Platform (centralized transparency and compliance tooling)
You’ll also play a critical role in mapping and unlocking new geographic markets, and exploring new verticals.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Relationship Management
Support & follow-up on initial discussions, maintain and grow strategic partnerships with existing European resellers. Serve as the go-to contact for commercial alignment, escalation, and collaboration planning.Platform Integration Strategy
Ensure resellers understand and are able to embed Academic Software’s platforms into their offerings for educational institutions. Act as a liaison between resellers, our development team, and internal stakeholders to align on capabilities & needs.Market Expansion & Partner Scouting
Identify and pursue new strategic partnerships in non-European and non-educational sectors where our platforms offer high potential.Market understanding
Identify market trends & tenders, large-scale proposals, and negotiations—leveraging your experience to align partner interests with our long-term goals.Cross-Functional Alignment
You report directly to the Sales Director and work closely with the Development lead, vendor lead, and CEO/Chief of Staff to ensure our partnership strategy is aligned with company objectives.Travel & Presence
Regularly travel for on-site partner meetings, industry events, and internal strategy sessions. Act as an ambassador for Academic Software at all times.
Proven experience in strategic partnerships, preferably in the software or SaaS industry
Familiarity with public sector tendering, contract negotiation, and reseller/channel dynamics
Strong network or experience with major European software resellers
Commercially driven, with the ability to balance partner interests with strategic priorities
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Fluent in English, Dutch & working knowledge of French & German are a plus
Willing and able to travel, including internationally
