As a Paid Social Media Expert, you will be part of the Digital Traffic Team within the Digital Marketing Department for Telenet's Residential and Small Office, Home Office commercial markets. This team is responsible for defining and implementing Telenet’s entire digital commercial strategy and roadmap. With Telenet’s clear strategic goal of becoming a digitally oriented company, you will be at the forefront of this transformation.
As a Paid Social Media Expert, you are the central link between Telenet and our advertising partners (agencies and platforms – mostly, but not only, Meta & TikTok). You are the gatekeeper in terms of quality, ensure innovation, and manage relationships both internally and externally in the field of paid social media advertisement for Telenet Group.
Your responsibilities as a Paid Social Media Expert:
- Develop a paid approach for our campaigns on Meta and TikTok that respects each platform’s DNA. Including other Social Media platforms is a plus. You will have to maintain good relationships and monitor growth plans with the platforms (Meta, TikTok, Linkedin, …) and our agencies.
- Ensure that our investments in Social Media are of high quality and deliver the expected business results. To achieve this, you will work very closely with our advertising agency.
- Provide input and support for the development of our paid media plans, where Social plays a substantial role.
- Be aware of innovation and market trends. Work with our agency to determine the added value for Telenet.
- Monitor overall spend and performance for Social Media advertising. Based on performance, spends, market trends, campaign evaluations, … provide tactical insights to elevate paid Social Media within Telenet to the next level.
- Educate internal teams about tactical and creative best practices for each Social Media.

Our ideal Social Media Expert:
- Several years of experience in Paid Social Media Advertising, either agency or client-side. Experience in managing the organic aspect of Social Media is a plus, not a must.
- Hands-on experience with platforms like Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads, Linkedin Ads, Reddit, Pinterest Ads, Snapchat. Knowledge of DCO tools such as Hunch and/or Clinch. Additionally, an understanding of broad digital analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, …) and tracking processes for each platform.
- Out of the box thinking to get the best of each social media in both optimizations for better algorithm use (bidding, conversion, format, placement, …) and creative excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on achieving results.
- True team player who works constructively with other teams and digital experts.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field or a postgraduate degree in Digital Marketing.
- Fluent in Dutch or English, proficiency in French is a plus.
