Tasks
The Manager EU Affairs is responsible for:
- Network with parliamentary staff, groups, and government agencies in Germany and Brussels
- Monitor and evaluate EU political and regulatory initiatives
- Accompany legislative processes and work on amendments to proposals
- Prepare and develop responses to EU Institutions and national governments
- Establish LHG positions on relevant topics and create lobby plans
- Represent LHG in working groups and ensure alignment with associations
- Brief board members on current corporate policy topics
- Organize events and contribute to department publications

Requirements
The ideal Manager EU Affairs should meet the following requirements:
- University education (Master or equivalent) preferably in politics, law, European studies, economics
- Experience in the political environment, e.g. in the EU or a national parliament and/or with ministries/directorate generals (internships or employment)
- Legislative Process in the EU and DE
- Proficient in economic principles
- Demonstrates credibility, professionalism, assertiveness, and persuasive skills
- Able to simplify and effectively communicate complex economic concepts
- Displays cross-functional thinking and collaboration
- German and English level C2 (or native), third language beneficial
- Functions often in the evenings
- Must be prepared to travel
- Must possess a legal work permit in Belgium
