Job Description
The position of Legal Counsel Business Development supports the regional growth of Radisson Hotel Group and protects its legal interests by (i) primarily overseeing and facilitating the development of new hotel management, leases, franchises, development and other projects contracts and agreements and (ii) managing and resolving legal issues arising operationally from the hotel agreements, as appropriate, and consistent with company policies. The role provides primary support to Business Development, the global legal team and other stakeholders.
Location: This role is based in Brussels
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate and advise on, MOUs / LOIs, term sheets, hotel management, leases, license and ancillary contracts with potential hotel partners.
- Advise, collaborate and support on the execution of various strategic projects involving key stakeholders in the business, including strategic partnerships, business innovation matters and matters similar, to guide and support the business teams from a legal perspective.
- Work closely with the development team to identify and remove barriers to completing contracts in accordance with company’s standards and policies, as well as coordinate and review background checks on potential hotel partners.
- Obtain and evaluate legal advice and counsel from local attorneys who are expert in hotel leases, development and management contract issues when needed.
Qualifications
A seasoned solution minded lawyer who is fast thinking, has strong negotiation skills and can lead projects to successful and timely completion. Five or more years of experience in an international environment with project management experience.
Previous hospitality or experience in real estate transactions is an asset but not required.
