About the role
Do you want to be part of making sure people and the environment are protected from harmful chemicals? We are hiring a lawyer to be part of the Resources, Energy and Mobility System, working on projects related to Chemicals.
The role will involve analysing complex legal questions and policy scenarios and producing high-quality outputs, including public facing briefings. In particular, the Lawyer will be involved in matters relating to the implementation, enforcement and protection of the EU’s REACH Regulation, the Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation and other laws relevant to the control of chemical pollution. There will be a strong focus both on carrying out advocacy with decision-makers to secure adoption of ClientEarth’s recommendations, and on providing legal support to other NGOs.
This is a new position created due to a newly received 3-year funding and will start with a defined employee contract of 12 months. We will of course inform the post holder about possible extensions to this initial 12 months ahead of time.
