ICF Next delivers strategic communications, digital engagement, and policy support for EU institutions, combining creativity, data, and technology to drive meaningful impact. We are seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to support our communications and digital content efforts. This is primarily a remote position, but occasional presence at the client’s premises may be required. Please note that this is a one year contract.
Key Responsibilities
Create and propose design concepts based on approved briefs, ensuring alignment with project objectives and creative direction.
Design engaging digital assets for web and social media platforms, including banners, illustrations, icons, infographics, motion graphics, and interactive elements.
Develop consistent visual identities and templates for campaigns and projects across various media (web, social media, publications, promotional materials).
Translate complex data into clear, visually appealing graphics such as infographics and charts, enhancing clarity and audience engagement.
Adapt layouts for multiple language versions, considering cultural nuances and text variations.
Ensure all designs adhere to the European Commission’s visual identity guidelines and maintain a high standard of creative excellence.
Select and incorporate appropriate imagery and design elements to maximize visual impact.
Required Skills & Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, ideally within EU institutions or similar environments.
Strong portfolio showcasing creative and innovative design solutions.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and online tools like Canva.
Experience designing for both digital and print media across various channels (web, newsletters, social media, events).
Ability to interpret and visualize complex content, including financial data and technical information.
Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for layout and design purposes.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and reliably.
English proficiency at B2 level (understanding, speaking, writing).
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of additional EU languages.
Familiarity with EU affairs, particularly budget-related topics.
Experience working within the European Commission’s digital environment.
